Introduction

Q700 slab formwork is the horizontal decking component of the Q700 system. These panels are pressed from 1.5 mm Zn-Al-Mg coated steel with yield strength above 700 MPa. U-profile edge rails and hollow stiffening ribs run the full panel length, giving the span rigidity needed under wet concrete and construction live loads without excessive deflection.

Slab panels take more day-to-day abuse than vertical formwork. They get stacked face-to-face, dragged across rough ground, and left outside between cycles. The Zn-Al-Mg coating handles this - 1500+ hours in salt-spray testing, and the cut edges heal themselves when nicked or drilled during field modification. That cuts down on the rust touch-up work that eats into cycle time on conventional galvanized panels. Panels share the same pin-and-wedge connection system as Q700 wall and beam formwork, so a crew doesn't need a second set of tools or hardware to move from walls to slabs.

Standard widths run 100 mm through 400 mm in seven steps. Lengths are cut to order, typically 600–2400 mm in 100 mm increments, with longer custom panels available up to factory confirmation. Send us your structural drawings; we lay out the panel map, mark the joints, optimize cutting waste, and return a full bill of materials within two working days.

01

High-Strength Material

Pressed from 1.5 mm Zn-Al-Mg coated steel with yield strength above 700 MPa, giving the span rigidity needed under wet concrete without excessive deflection.

02

Self-Healing Coating

The Zn-Al-Mg coating delivers 1500+ hours of salt-spray resistance and heals cut edges by itself, cutting down the rust touch-up work on conventional galvanized panels.

03

300+ Reuse Cycles

At roughly 25 kg per square meter, panels are light enough for a small crew to strip and reposition, running 300+ cycles on fast-track 3–5 day floor schedules.

04

One System, One Toolset

Panels share the same pin-and-wedge connection system as Q700 wall and beam formwork, so a crew doesn't need a second set of tools or hardware to move from walls to slabs.

Applications

1. High-rise residential and commercial towers with repetitive floor plans

The panel inventory cycles across dozens of identical slabs, amortizing the initial investment over hundreds of pours. Standard widths and cut-to-length panels match typical residential bay sizes without custom fabrication for every floor.

2. Fair-faced concrete jobs where the slab soffit is left exposed

Tight panel joints and the smooth steel face produce a soffit surface that meets architectural concrete standards in most cases without plastering. Joint alignment accuracy is the deciding factor - panels are fabricated to length tolerance within factory confirmation required.

3. Fast-track sites running 3–5 day floor cycles

Panels weigh roughly 25 kg/m², light enough for manual strip and reposition by a small crew. The Zn-Al-Mg surface strips clean without concrete sticking, reducing the cleaning time between cycles.

4. Coastal and high-humidity regions

Outdoor storage between cycles is standard practice on most sites. The self-healing cut-edge property of Zn-Al-Mg buys extra calendar life compared to conventional galvanizing, where a single rust spot on a stacked panel face can spread across the whole bundle.

5. Hybrid forming systems

Contractors sometimes run Q700 steel on walls and columns for strength and corrosion resistance, then use these same-spec slab panels for the deck to keep material tracking and connection hardware uniform across the system. No mixed inventory, no crew confusion about which pin fits which panel.
