Product Overview

- The Formwork Fasteners range delivers a complete fastening system for concrete formwork – including tie rods, K-bolts, wing nuts, butterfly clips, washers, and PVC sleeves – engineered for aluminum, steel, and timber applications.
- Manufactured from high-strength carbon steels (45# steel, Q235, and 65Mn spring steel), these fasteners undergo cold heading or hot-rolled threading to ensure precise thread fit and consistent clamping force.
- Surface finishes – electro-galvanized, hot-dip galvanized, or powder-coated – are selectable based on exposure conditions, from general indoor use to high-humidity or saline environments.
- We provide full-service support from sample development to production runs, with particular focus on custom specifications for large-scale housing, bridge, and tunnel projects.

Key Features

The tie rods in this range feature hot-rolled coarse threads. The coarse thread profile allows cement paste to dislodge naturally as the nut is rotated – a self-cleaning action that minimizes thread galling and extends rod service life across multiple pours.
K-bolts are designed with a slotted head for quick tightening using a screwdriver or wrench. These bolts are cast into slab concrete to anchor external wall and elevator shaft formwork, while also allowing fine horizontal adjustment. Manufactured to Grade 8.8 strength, they deliver reliable tensile and shear performance.
Spring wedge clamps offer tool-free clamping for 6–12mm steel bars. Using a wedge-locking principle, these clamps secure formwork panels instantly. Combined with a tension wrench, they provide full locking force. The Q235 base plate, paired with 45# steel pins and 65Mn springs, ensures long service life.
The reinforced wing profile distributes lateral concrete pressure evenly and resists vibration-induced loosening. These fasteners can be hand-tightened for rapid placement, with wrench finalization recommended for large-wall applications.
By threading tie rods through PVC sleeves, the rods can be withdrawn cleanly after stripping, enabling repeated use. Non-waterproof applications use Ø16 PVC sleeves, while waterproof tie rods with integrated water stops are available for below-grade and water-retaining structures.
Application Scenarios
- High-Rise Shear Wall Construction – K-bolts embedded in floor
- slabs position and secure external wall formwork, ensuring consistent
- plumbness across repeated floor cycles.
Commercial Frame Structures – Tie rods combined with wing nuts
and butterfly clips withstand high lateral pressures from mass concrete
pours in large columns, beams, and walls.
Bridge and Tunnel Heavy Engineering – Large-diameter hot-rolled
tie rods (Ø20–Ø36mm) deliver up to 549kN load capacity for heavy-duty
formwork systems.
Aluminum Formwork Standard Floors – All components are
hole-matched to aluminum panel layouts, enabling rapid assembly and
high-turnaround floor cycles.
Customization – Dimensions and Finishes
Every project has unique wall thicknesses, pressure requirements, and environmental conditions. We customize
| Rod Length | Standard from 600mm to 6,000mm, extendable to 15m |
| Thread Diameter | Standard Ø14, Ø15, Ø16, Ø17, Ø20; non-standard diameters available |
| Surface Finishes | Electro-galvanized (bright silver finish) for general rust protection; hot-dip galvanized for saline or high-humidity environments; powder coating – available in green, blue, yellow, or red – for site color-coding |
| Identification Marking | Logo stamping or size engraving on nuts and washers for brand recognition and site sorting |
Packaging and Logistics

On-site logistics matter as much as product quality. We package every shipment to simplify receiving, storage, and issue to crews.
- Packaging – Rods bundled with woven bags or stretch film; nuts and small parts in poly bags or cartons. Export wooden crates or steel-framed cases available on request.
- Palletized Shipping – Accessories packed per pallet (e.g., 1,500 PVC sleeves or 1,000 wing nuts per pallet).
- Clear Labeling – Each package bears product specification, quantity, and batch number for easy receiving and inventory.
- Lead Time – 7–15 working days for standard items; 15–30 working days for custom orders.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Are these formwork fasteners compatible with standard formwork systems in my market?
+
-
Yes. Our thread standards and nut dimensions follow mainstream formwork specifications. If you use imported or non-standard panels, please share your drawings or samples – we will match accordingly.
How many reuse cycles can I expect from a tie rod?
+
-
Under normal site conditions with PVC sleeves and regular thread cleaning, our tie rods typically achieve 50–80 reuse cycles. Actual performance depends on pour pressure, concrete mix, and handling practices.
How do you handle waterproofing requirements?
+
-
For basements, water tanks, or retaining walls, we supply tie rods with welded water-stop rings. The central section remains embedded in concrete after removing the cone nuts, forming a watertight structure – no PVC sleeve needed.
Can wing nuts be tightened by hand only?
+
-
Hand-tightening is sufficient for quick positioning. However, for large walls, we recommend a final wrench tightening to ensure uniform load distribution across all fasteners.
What is the minimum order quantity?
+
-
No MOQ for standard sizes. Custom sizes, colors, or logo engraving typically require 200 pieces for cost-effective pricing.
